So... I finally got my insurance for the Van. I managed finally to get a good price for it and all. And then I decided to go out with the van with some friends to have a drink at a close bar. Well... with all my great luck, I stop in a traffic light waiting to turn left... and neither me nor my co-pilot notice we were standing in the wrong lane... so light goes green, and cars start honking me... and I am like "WTF??" 20 sec. later... COPS show up... and I am like "WTH!!!!???"... then I notice apparently I am in the wrong lane.. but hey!... too late. So yeah I finally turn left stop on a side, the cop comes... and I get a fine!!! Can you believe it?!?! Quoting: "Impeding traffic"... No idea how much it will cost me... hopefully less than a 100 bucks (crossing fingers!). And then to remove it from my record I'll have to spend a few hours in fron of the computer filling a stupid test! I am still in shock... god! In Spain at most they will give you a warning!! So yeah... one more of the great experiences this "land of freedom" brings me. Everyday that passes by I am more and more convinced that I dont wanna spend here a single day more than those neccessary to get my PhD...
Anyhow... I try to think its not a big deal, nothing a few bucks can't solve... but my budget is kind of tight so... well no partying in a while I guess!!
I'll post pictures of the van very soon... I know... I said that already, but good things require some patience.
Hope the luck of you guys is working better than mine!! I think I'll need some surfing to clean my karma!
